“Anaheim Beer”, famous before Prohibition and a part of the German lifestyle in the early days of Anaheim, is set to return after 90 years. The Anaheim Brewery will revive the brand in a vintage building in downtown Anaheim.
In 1878, Anaheim resident Friedrich Conrad started his first brewery, the California Brewery on Center Street, and the celebrated Anaheim Beer was born. He later purchased another property of 10 acres on Broadway in West Anaheim, and built a large brick building for the Anaheim Brewery. Residents were able to purchase beer at the brewery and enjoy picnicking with others at the Tivoli Gardens, a park Mr. Conrad established on the brewery grounds.
Beginning this fall, Anaheim Brewery will produce four unique beers which will be distributed to local market places for consumer purchase. The brewery will also have a tasting room and beer garden to sell Anaheim Beer directly to the public. Anaheim Brewery is set to open to a new generation … Tan, Rested and Ready for its comeback!
